Carlos Castro
FOUNDER & CEO
He was most recently Cash Management Head of Citi for the Latin America and Mexico region, a position he held from 2007 until March 2015 based in Miami and Mexico City.
As business unit head, he managed a multi-millon dollar revenue business with a wide-ranging experience running large and complex businesses with success P&L management and strong delivery of financial results. He led one of the largest regional business for Latin America and Mexico, which provided multiple product solutions to private corporations, banks and public sector clients. He developed state-of-the-art products being recognized for international publications such as Euromoney where Citi was awarded as the best Cash Management bank for Latin America for 7 consecutive years during his leadership.
His broad experience, along with business leadership in the banking industry for the last 18 years has given him deep knowledge of working capital management, technology platforms, regulatory and compliance as well as emerging markets.
He started his career in Buenos Aires Argentina in 1981 as computer programmer working for Pirelli. Three years later, he founded Tecnova S.A., a processing data company. In 1988 he founded a software hosue company, C&C Sistemas S.A. After several years leading both companies, he was appointed as General Manager by the spanish software company FinTech in 1994.
He holds a Computer Science Bachelor Degree from the Centro de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Exactas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a regular speaker and author of several articles related to the financial industry. Mr. Castro is a member of Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA).
